Summer Survival

The International Summer Outdoor Championship began with an opening ceremony at the Training Command – Military Academy Base in Vyškov on Monday, October 4th 2010. It is organized by the Military Branches Development Section – Operations Section of MoD, and traditionally executed by the Training Command – Military Academy.

It is a challenging competition testing not only physical abilities but also mental endurance. 17 teams have entered the competition this year.

After the first “warm-up” stage, the 4th Rapid Response Brigade team from Žatec and the 74th Light Motorized Battalion team from Bučovice gave up. On the second day, after the first part of the 2-day stage, three other teams gave up. As a result, today the competition will continue without the MoD Military Secondary School and Military Specialized School team from Moravská Třebová, Guard of Honour and Military Police teams from Prague.
