The team of Military Police triumphed in the 7th year military multi-contest, Summer Survival, taking place in Vyškov on October 1 – 5, 2007.
The Military Police nominated 3 three-member teams; two of them were composed of men and one of women. The leader of their delegation was MAJ Pavel Soural from the Department of Police Preparation and Training at the MP Headquarters. In the tough competition of national and also five international (France 2x, Latvia, Germany and Slovakia) teams, military policemen CAPT Zdeněk Střeštík, 1LT Karel Raděj and CW2 Michal Škobrtal excelled and were deservedly awarded the winner’s cup.
Individual events such as swimming, shooting, “warfighter track”, water obstacle, blind orienteering, classical orienteering, climbing, running with a burden, transporting fire and the NATO obstacle course tested in complexity the abilities, knowledge and skills that are expected from a warfighter of the 21st century. As stated by contestants, reaching success in such a challenging competition needs, first of all, perfect preparation and smooth teamwork. Those who have gathered an experience from the previous years of this physically demanding competition also have an advantage.
In their triumph, the military policemen also paid honor to CW2 Radek Vysloužil, a former permanent member of the MP survival team, who perished this summer in mountain climbing
