On Monday, October 5, 2009, the Commandant of the Training Command – Military Academy in Vyškov opened on the premises of the Dědice Barracks the 9th International AFCR Championship Military Multi-Contest “Summer Survival 2009”, which is held under the auspices of the MoD Force Development Division – Operations Division and organized, as usually, by the Military Academy in Vyškov.
The opening ceremony was attended by 20 teams from 6 countries. In addition to the host country, which nominated 15 teams, one-team delegations arrived from Turkey, Germany, Austria, Hungary, and the United Kingdom. During this week the teams will strive for winning the title 2009 AFCR International Champion and the AFCR Champion in the International AFCR Championship Military Multi-Contest “Summer Survival 2009”.
This is a highly challenging multi-contest of three-member military teams, in which all participants have to prove outstanding physical and mental endurance. Furthermore, they are expected to master all basic skills needed for special physical training and shooting with small arms.
