October is slowly approaching and along with it another year of the competition. We have activated on-line registration so do not hesitate. Those teams that have sent us a preliminary application form can now fill in an on-line registration form and put their names down for this year’s competition.

Dear sports friends!
Another year has gone by pretty fast and the grand finale of your preparation and training is drawing closer. As usual, do come in the first week of October (3rd – 10th 2011) to compare your performance and level of skills with other teams at the 11th year of the International Summer Survival 2011.
The International Outdoor Championship of the Czech Armed Forces Summer Survival 2010 finished with the result announcement ceremony where a challenge cup was handed over to the winners by Brigade General Milan Kovanda, the Deputy Commander of the Joint Forces Command, on Friday October 8th 2010.
The International Summer Outdoor Championship began with an opening ceremony at the Training Command – Military Academy Base in Vyškov on Monday, October 4th 2010. It is organized by the Military Branches Development Section – Operations Section of MoD, and traditionally executed by the Training Command – Military Academy.
It is a challenging competition testing not only physical abilities but also mental endurance. 17 teams have entered the competition this year.
October, the month of the 10th anniversary of the competition is coming up soon. Preparations are well underway and the organizers are preparing yet again very interesting and more importantly, tricky disciplines which will test the contestants’ skills and abilities “to survive”.
There have been a few changes in this year’s competition so please read the competition program carefully.
The online application form will be made available within a few days.
On Friday, as if in the token of number nine, on 9th October 2009, Colonel (GS) Jaromír Zůna, Commandant of the Training Command – Military Academy (TC-MA), concluded the 9th year of the International Championship Military Multi-Contest “Summer Survival 2009” at the closing ceremony that took place in the assembly hall of the Dědice Barracks.
The Summer Survival 2009 has finally flown into its last competition day. The competing teams have to tackle with the last three events, which must be completed regardless of the fact that they had to get over the pitfalls of the highly strenuous two-day movement on foot, during which, in addition to almost non-stop running, the racers had to fulfill difficult tasks and spent, so to say, a sleepless night under extreme conditions.
Motto: “Survive with that what you have.“
The remaining 18 teams entered the 3rd day of the SUMMER SURVIVAL 09, and during another 20 km long movement on foot, they again collected very precious points in performing various events.
After the 1st competition day, which took place at the swimming pool in Slavkov u Brna, the teams participating in the Summer SURVIVAL 2009 continued in fulfilling their tasks of the second stage of the contest in the Březina Military Training Area. The racers were to overcome the daylong 25–30 km movement on foot, which encompassed three separate competition events.
Immediately after the opening ceremony of the SUMMER SURVIVAL 2009 that took place in the garrison of Vyškov, all 20 competing teams (15 Czech and 5 international) moved to the town of Slavkov u Brna to undergo the first event of the competition in the local outdoor swimming pool in the late afternoon hours.
